A question that has really rocked me lately, "What is keepng you from being wholly present to the Lord today?"
There are so many things that knock me off center from an abiding, loving, friendship (John 15) with Jesus. What about you?

I hear you! What a battle it is to get quiet and draw near! The SEEN reality of this world pushes and pulls our flesh...responsibilities demand attention, people need care, and tantalizing high speed distractions mitigate against our spirit connecting to an UNSEEN reality. Bottom line - too often I am unwilling to sacrifice my time and agendas to be with Him. This grieves me. I lean on His mercy and depend on His grace to help me press in, and give Him my time.

I did a word search in the "Strong's" and these were the scriptures that got my attention:
#1 Gen 3:8 . . ."Adam and Eve went out from the Presence of the Lord . . .
Fear from Guilt
#2 Gen 4:16 . . ."Cain went out from the presence of the Lord . . .
I believe because of anger and jealousy rooted in his resistance to put the Lord first.
#3 Jonah 1:3 . . . Jonah rose up to flee unto Tarshish from the presence of the Lord . . .
I think he was just plain scared of what they would do to him.
I'm sure there is much more to this, but these were my 1st thoughts, and I know the torment of guilt and the fear of men have caused me to be angery and kept me from the presence of the Lord.
